Announcing the pilot of a new Finnish application to help the disabled people in India

“What Matters to Me” is an internet-based application that enables people with disabilities to share their specific needs in a comprehensive and versatile manner. The application eliminates the frustration and inconvenience of always having to share the same information over and over again in different places and situations. With the help of the application, disabled users enter their requirements once only and service providers can easily get the information they should take into account in order to make their services more suitable for more people. This increases the accessibility of society and the opportunities for inclusion to all those with disabilities.

Bestser Oy, a Finnish developer of the application, has signed an agreement to pilot the application in India. A local company, Inkludo Consulting & Advisory, with deep and diverse experience of developing services for people with disabilities will conduct the pilot research.

“The Indian market is very interesting. Depending on the definition of disability used, there are 20 to 70 million people with disabilities in India. With this piloting, we want to find out the usefulness of our application in Indian conditions” says Johanna Mätäsaho, CEO of Bestser Oy.
